Twitter Marketing – Avoiding Simple Twitter Mistakes

July 9th, 2011 admin No comments

There’s no mistaking Twitter’s huge rise and slice of the online traffic numbers. Twitter has earned the trust that millions of business owners place in it. IM marketers have quickly learned how to operate in this unique environment. However, new people who try to use Twitter for marketing end up making some mistakes that can be easily taken care of. So now we’ll get into what some of these mistakes are and how to easily avoid committing them. Automate your Twitter account management and combine Twitter and ClickBank easily and mistake free.

If you’re just starting out with Twitter, don’t make the mistake of starting the marketing process right away. This is something actually that is also seen in the more experienced marketer when just starting a new business day. The key to success is building relationships and positive connections with your audience. This is to grow your trust level and also be visible to your target audience. Once you have spent a considerable amount of time building a relationship with your followers, then you jump into the marketing side of things. This is when you begin to receive traffic from Twitter, and you can start building an email list. Apart from this, your followers are real people, who are looking to have a good time on Twitter. Your followers saw something about you they liked for example your posts, etc. Figure out what it is they want, and the provide it to them. You’ll be more effective if you always strive to keep things in balance with regard to commercial and the non-commercial tweeting.

Never take yourself seriously on Twitter. When people log on to this site, they want to have fun, talk to people and relax. They are also looking for a charge of some kind. Sending tweets that sound like a typical business letter will only bore your followers. You need to tone down on the seriousness and spice up the content of your tweets. By writing tweets that people enjoy, you’ll be creating a connection with your followers. When you can send out tweets that people like and enjoy, you will start to be a trusted member of this online community. You have to exercise aggressive method and send frequent updates about what your followers care about which will bring greater impact on your Twitter Money Making Strategies .

Last but not the least, you have to be really open and up front with your followers; don’t try to be too mysterious in your approach. Don’t try to conceal who you are from your followers. Make sure you have posted a biography and photo on your profile. The more you reveal to people, the better. Your tweets should be varied, and include general updates as well as more promotional type material.

In short, if you want your followers to trust you give them a reason and tell them you’re someone who’s just trying to help. You don’t want to be seen as someone who doesn’t care about anything but selling your products. Minimize your mistakes by automating how you Manage Twitter Account.

“Social Media: A Work From Home Company Marketing Windfall!â€

June 17th, 2011 admin No comments

Oftentimes when I speak with at home based business entrepreneurs about social media, I have to admit it is not uncommon for their eyes to glaze over – or worse, for them to stifle a yawn. I think this first reaction from people not really understanding the marketing possibilities of social media is because for many, social media is viewed as “featherbrained” and not worthy of sincere consideration from intelligent business owners?

Work from home company entrepreneurs whom have not taken the time to research the amazing marketing potential of social media are doing themselves a huge disservice. Unfortunately, they have decided that social media is not a important advertising tool for businesses. Perchance they see young kids “tweeting” away and believe that’s great, but have persuaded themselves it is only for children.

But for top home based business professionals that have fully examined the promotional capabilities of what we call the “big four, (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube), they now realize their incredible reach and with it, their potential for earnestly boosting their company’s fortunes!

Here’s why – in March 2010, Facebook “zoomed past” Google as the most frequented site in the world with over 400M users and Twitter is close behind with 114M. Looking at these huge numbers, a home based small business person will easily “get” the tremendous significance. People all over the world are seeing that it is more beneficial for them to be on Facebook, than to be on Google.

Google is great, but it’s very impersonal, being mainly used only for search. There are no real ways of connecting with people on Google! What generates “awe” is the short amount of time with which the “big four” have pulled up a chair alongside Google at the tech world’s adult table.

Until recently derided as pushers of childish missives, (“my latte is cold!”), the “big four” have unveiled themselves as accurate barometers of mass culture. Today, if something isn’t talked about in one of these social media platforms, did it happen? They are now the world’s water cooler. They’re a place where you can see what millions are talking about and feeling, impartial and in real time.

Now ardent followers range from CEOs of mega firms, (IBM, Coke, Dell, Apple, General Motors, Exxon, etc. etc.), to regular working people all chatting in the digital town square, and all with the power to mold just about everything. Consider the amazing potential of being a leader in talking about the benefits of a new product or service your top home business just brought to market? Even if you are part-time just trying to earn extra money from home, you will see the advertising possibility with the capability to showcase your company with a half billion person audience at the “flip of a switch”!

Marketing Sherpa, an Internet promotional analysis company, completed a new examination of why people use social media? I’ve attached below the results which is a synopsis of their survey.

Max Connectors are those individuals with over 500 social links. If you think about your local chamber of commerce, Max Connectors would be those people who are the most tuned in, tapped in and successful of your close circle of business associates.

The Chart below answers the inquiry “Why consumers “friend” or follow businesses?” (Of course we now “like” instead of “follow” on Facebook.)

Chart Title: Why Consumers Friend or Follow, (Like), Companies

Learn about new products/features/services

  • Max Connectors: 61%
  • Daily Users: 61%
  • All Respondents:  62%

Company culture, environmental responsibility, workers policies, etc.

  • Max Connectors: 48%
  • Daily Users: 41%
  • All Respondents:  30%

Learn about specials, sales, etc.

  • Max Connectors: 46%
  • Daily Users: 65%
  • All Respondents:  64%

Entertainment – funny or insightful

  • Max Connectors: 37%
  • Daily Users: 34%
  • All Respondents:  35%

The great majority of the “Hyper-Connected” or opinion leaders are there to do business!

They participate with social media to:

  • Check out new products, features, or services.
  • Learn about the company culture and to see if the business is one whom they will feel comfortable doing business with.
  • Learn about any specials and sales that may bew going on?
  • Finally, and significantly less often, they use social media for fun.

It is simple to think that social media is insignificant. Twitter with its 140 letter limitper tweet, Facebook with the pictures of your aunt Betty you might be better off not seeing, YouTube with arguably the preeminent vault of hilarious, and “cockamamie” videos on the planet, but LinkedIn has always had its main target toward business. These are also where a vast majority of people make their purchasing decisions.

I am certainly not saying that people spend all their hard earned capital using the Internet. But if you are not using e-commerce, you may be missing out on a humongous potential to add extra sales outside the confines of your companythe current limitations of your business?  And if you not taking advantage of social media to market your e-commerce endeavors, it is quite possible your business is not making as much money as it very well could be.

So I’ll leave you with this: social media is a tool to do business, and it should be a important part of your advertising strategy!

Facebook vs. Twitter: Your CPA Practice’s Next Logical Marketing Focus?

June 13th, 2011 admin No comments

Since you are reading this it’s a reasonably safe gamble that you are already at least a fairly savvy marketer. I’m going to presume that you already see the value of CPA sites and the internet when it comes to marketing your services and you’re most likely at least studying the benefits of Facebook and Twitter to promote your business. Exploiting these sites can attract new customers, but it requires tenaciousness and it can be kind of tricky. Here are a few selected pragmatic guidelines to help you determine what to focus on. There is a stigma attached to these sites.

Social networks carry the stereotype that they’re all about “play,” but this isn’t necessarily the case all across the board. While there are already social “business” networks, like LinkedIn, dedicated to building resume details and professional networks, the others on the more “social” end can still work for you. A lot of important deals get closed on the golf course, yes?

Social sites have a significant advantage: sheer numbers. Last I checked Facebook has over 500 million users and Twitter has over 190 million. LinkedIn only has about 80 million users.

The numbers are also telling. Where you might think most social networking is driven by teenagers, only about 11% in the 12-17 age bracket use Twitter, according to a survey put out by comScore. If Quancast’s estimates are correct more than 35% of their users are 35 or over. In short: there’s a lot of money on these sites.

For the accounting industry I think it’s better to go with Facebook than twitter. Yes, Twitter may have a larger percentage of people who use the service for business, but out of the 5.9% of the user base that uses it for self-promotion, an even smaller percentage of that is effective. Facebook is structured to target a user’s “likes”, effectively providing a back door to their interests.

Both services offer tools that will help you promote your business.

On Twitter, hashtags and searches with desktop and mobile-based clients like TweetDeck allow you to connect with others with like interests. For CPAs, you can search #CPA to get tuned into the conversation other CPAs are having. Facebook makes it easier. Just search for groups with appropriate interests and you’ll get access to plenty of other users. You’ll find tons of diverse groups with highly specialized interests. There are groups dedicated to start-up businesses, entrepreneurs, and just about every specific industry. You may also find some useful advice for running your business in groups dedicated to accounting. There’s health care for accountants, support groups, and firms that are shifting their business model to cloud computing.

These are just some of the ways that these social networks can help you elevate your firm. Just sign up and see where it takes you. You likely already have all the skills you need. The nature of networking hasn’t changed, just the venue. You won’t regret it. There’s no limit to the potetial contacts, and profits, to be had.
