so with the launch of Bing (but it is not google called by many MS fanboys),Microsoft has gained Search market share by 2% in no time. People have reported and responded well to bing though it still has to go a long way to put any kind of challenge to Google.

Since Bing is just MSN with new name, the seo techniques for Bing will remain same as for MSN. The new content still ranks well in Bing just like msn. Here are few tips on SEO for Bing -

1. Submit your sites to Bing to here

2. Bing likes fresh content, so feed it as much as you can.

3. Most of the ranking parameters are just like for other search engines. I have noticed that new content do not stay that longer in bing as earlier it used to be.

4. Keyword rich domains rank very easily in bing just like msn so if you have a site like keyword1-keyword2.com, you can rank easily for “keyword 1 keyword2″ in bing search engine.

5. You can submit your sitemap to Bing from webmater tools here

6. It seems bing is giving lot of weightage to age of domain as I am seeing lot of sites with strong backlinks and old age ranking very high. Anyway you can’t do much about such factors so better leave it and focus on quality of content.

7. Bing seems to be giving lot of weightage to on page seo factors too so you may like to optimize title, keyword, description etc but don’t over do it and certainly do not prioritize it as you can easily trigger search engine filters due to this.

Microsoft released documentation today for webmasters about its new Bing search engine, explaining how Bing affects search-engine optimization (SEO) activities.

It’s a quite large PDF, so be forewarned.

It explains Bing’s features in a technical way that’s fairly – fairly – free of promotional language. If you’re like me and largely ignore the way public-relations folks describe features (a prerequisite for journalists), you might consider browsing this document to learn more about the technical aspects of Bing.

Bing SEO Tips (Or Should it be DEO Tips?)

With the release of Bing, one of the first things online marketers want to know is how to get their websites to the top of the search engine results page. After testing Bing.com for the last few days, I’ve noticed some Bing SEO tips that should help those marketers get noticed on Bing.

(However, considering that Bing claims to be a decision engine rather than a search engine, perhaps these Bing Search Engine Optimization tips should actually be Bing Decision Engine Optimization tips.)

Here are the Bing SEO tips:

1. Domain Age is Key
Bing appears to put a lot of stock into how long ago a domain was registered. For marketers, this means that you may look to purchase older domains if you want to get on good position in Bing.

2. Text Rules
On most search engines, the amount of text on the page usually isn’t usually a huge factor. However, Bing appears to really like pages with at least 300 words of text.

3. Link Out
With Google especially, some marketers are scared to link out to other websites because they don’t want their Page Rank to be lowered. On Bing, linking out actually appears to be smiled upon.

4. Bad News for Bloggers
Google seems to appreciate the blogosphere more than Bing. This is especially true when recent news events occur and bloggers battle with major websites for space on the search engine results page.

5. Bing Loves Titles
If you want to make it to the top of Bing, be sure to have a title that correlates to the subject at hand. Without following this SEO tip (or is a DEO tip?), your other efforts may be lost.
