To Get Fame, You Have to Work Hard
In our line of work we have come across Options quite a few people who have gone on to achieve in the music industry, as well as a fair few that have not. So what is the difference between them you may ask? Sadly there is no 100% failsafe formula to making it. It can come down to something as simple as being in the right place at the right time, getting your EPK into the custody of the right person, or making that one contact that can make things click. However, there are steps that you can take to boost your chances of success.

When you time comes, you have to look the part – from your product to your publicity plan, and overall presentation.

However, it is important to rememeber – never sell your soul for fame, because, surprisingly, people call up people that did sell their souls, and they are not too fond of people who will give up any and everything for success. Unfortunately, if the stars have not aligned and your time has not come, then it will not happen for you when you may expect it to, but being prepared can never hurt anyone. Mediocrity, is this business, is just not an option but equally, if you fake who or what you are you will get found out and if the public turn on you it is a long way back.

You can put in work for many years, but when your time comes, you must be ready, that is how it has to be in this industry. You could be putting in work for years, and it may seem as though you may never make it, but the realness is that you really never know when you will get put on in this industry. That once in a lifetime chance may be just around the corner so the best advice that could be given is that you should never give up, and while it may not seem like you will ever get a big break, it could come just when you least expect it. Do what you can today to prepare for that moment – whether it is hitting the studio, working on your craft or sorting out your Electronic Press Kit. Your chance could come like a bolt from the blue – be ready.
